Finnish tranquility

     Second one from tranquil series are Finnish postcards - primarily night views [also another city night view from the water - here, day views are usually more fun - like the one with baby stroller or with an elk]. Maybe night views are not fully fit the tranquility definition because there is some suspense hidden in the pictures, which first sender proves by choosing the card for phobia tag - for deep dark waters phobia - thalassophobia, but still they are borderline boring and calm. Both are postcards received in 2012, when I didn't scan the backside yet, so I can't share the photo/place/author info sadly, maybe later during sorting the physical cards I'll update.

Tranquil nature

     There is certain type of landscape postcards which show basically... nothing. The sky, often with light picturesque clouds, open green or yellowish fields, sometimes plane of snow, can be chill mountains - easier to group them while browsing all received postcards, that pin singular postcard to that type. The photos themselves can be quite vivid but often without the spark [I mean the focus of the composition - most postcards show something, from certain sight or an interesting captured moment to some concept of unusual angle or location/point of taking the photo from], very calm without any artsy drama. They feel a bit like photographer went out for a hike, breathed in the fresh breeze and made a shot. For Boring-postcard tags those are #1 candidate to receive, even though many of similar ones are issued within 'My Russia' series, which I adore.

     To appreciate the feeling of simplicity and tranquility those postcard embody I start a new tag, #tranquility, and some drafts of 'boring' postcards are already prepared. Interesting that all three postcards don't have any info on the back, neither name or photographer, most likely printed from photostock.
